Why can’t we see the Apollo lunar landers on the Moon from Earth ?

Comparing Hubble, GTC, And LRO

According to Curious Droid on YouTube,

The Hubble Telescope

  • Ultraviolet Light: 43 meters (141 feet) per pixel
  • Visible Light: 90m (295 feet) per pixel

GTC (Canary Islands)

  • Visible Light: 20 meters (65 feet) per pixel

LRO (Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter)

  • 0.5 meters (18 inches) per pixel
  • Even at 0.5 meter per pixel resolution, a lunar landers is approximately 8 pixels across
